I am sure everyone when they are in a foreign countries or regions, sometimes they will miss their places. I think food is the best way to solve this problem. For me, when I miss HK,I will have some traditional Cantonese food. Luckily there was a traditional Cantonese restaurant near the Chang Gung Hospital and has canton pork chip. Unfortunately when compares with HK, the food there is just… fair.

In my opinion, one of the most representative Cantonese foods are pork chip and wonton noodle. You can have these two kinds of food everywhere in HK and it is so popular. However, even in HK, sometimes it’s difficult to find some restaurants which can have the excellent wonton noodle. Few days before, suddenly I found a website which introduces the best wanton noodle in HK, when I saw the wanton photos in the website, I felt hungry and I miss HK again, or who can post the wanton noodle or one piece of excellent pork chip to me ?

A great Bookshop

In my opinion,Taiwan bookstores is one of the 'soul' of Taiwan culture and a attractive point to attract tourists to come to Taiwan such as 24 hours eslite bookstore in Zhongxiao Dunhua.When I traveled in Taipei City before this academic year started,eslite bookstore was one of the place I really wanted to go.I went there at about 11pm,but still quite a lot of people were reading there which I couldn't imagine and I could feel a lot of Taiwanese are 'booklover' too.

Besides eslite bookstore,some other bookstores may have their own character to attract different people when you can see different between every bookstores in Taipei Main Station.However,I have been there few times already and therefore today I went to another excellent bookstore near Taiwan Normal University in Guting.Actually I hadn't heard this bookstore before I came to Taiwan.I knew it from a Taipei local magazine and luckily one of the articles introduced some special bookstore in Taipei.

Before I went into the bookstore,I saw the word in front of the entrance which I really like it.
























Although the bookstore is quite small,still the bookstore owner tried his best to put all the books in everywhere and not much space leaves.If you are a fat man or a fat woman,maybe you can't 'walk' in the bookstore.However,I like this sytle bookstore which you can feel it is a real 'bookstore' but not a cafe shop.When we bought the book,the bookstore owner gave us a big big discount and introduced some other relative books to us.Again,a big discount compared with other bookstore.Finally my friend and I bought 9 books in total because it is really a good value.Also you can feel the bookstore owner is really a 'book lover' when we chated with him.I am sure if I want to buy books in Taiwan later,this bookstore will be my first choice while the bookstore owner is the same with me,BOOK LOVER.

Suprise

A wonderful day that I must type it here.

26th December was the Life Science Department Society show.It was held in the Activity Tower 2/f at night.At the beginning,I had no concept what I would see and thought maybe just some mass games,singing or some boring activies,however,finally I saw a lot of amazing show and unpredictable show.

The most attractive show was drama,a lot of life science year 1 and 2 classmates have practised in this show.One of my classmates he wore dress during the drama,it was very very surprise and funny to see 'him' dressed like a girl.He made all of us non-stop laughing til he went down from podium.

Bedides this classmates,other classmates also gave me a lot of unpredictable impression in the show.Also one of my classmates sang very well which I totally can't imagine before and everyone gave her a big hand.By conclsion,I think this night was unforgettable night and really thanked for their show.

Although the show was not really long,I am sure that all of performers must spend a lot of time on it and made this show so successful.

Merry Christmas,I love Luxy

Woo,it was my first time to have Christmas in Taiwan,however,actually I didn't really know there are no holiday during Christmas before.Also it was my first time haven't had holiday during Chistmas =.= and I know I may not have Christmas holiday again later.

No matter what,I think Christmas should be a time to have fun although no holiday during Christmas.Went to a disco in Zhongxiao Dunhua called Luxy with my friend during 23rd when there was a party tehre.The Taipei City was quite crowded during Christmas time and the Chirstmas feel was much stronger than CGU.I like it.We just had some snack first and then went to the disco.Also 23rd is my friend's birthday,therefore I think that went to disco with him to celebrate his birthday is a great idea.The party started at about 8pm?(oh,I forget 8pm or 9pm,whatever) and a lot of young people there,great.

I also met some friends of my friend and chated together.Then some shows began such as dancing,King of the party,Queen of the party etc.During the dancing show,a group of sexy girl danced outside but one of the sexy girls is a male 0_0 ,everyone could't imagined 'she' is a male before the MC told us.It was quite surprise and funny to see this little joke,haha.Besides dancing,there were also a election of King of the party and Queen of the party.Every electors tried to perform his/her best to attract other to choose him/her to be the King or Queen of the party such as rap,dancing,singing etc.I can only say 'everyone are the King or Queen of the party already,excellent show.'

It is happy to gather and had fun with friend together during Christmas.Besides,I haven't had any alcoholic drink after I came to Taiwan since Sept.Felt great to have some alcoholic drink during festival and it is one of my favour,Whiskey mix coke on rock.Finally in my opinion,no matter Christian or Catholic or not,Christmas is a time to have fun,gathering with friends,or sharing loves by donation,being volunteer or both.Don't waste the chance to share emotion and love.

Decision

After nearly two months time,I have decided to drop the Physics and asked for assistant Professor Chiu to sign the application form already.Unfortunately I can't handle this subject when I haven't studied Physics for nearly 3 years.

However,I think I still learned a lot from him,not only in Physics,but also his life experience he shared with us.I really like his sharing experience because sometimes you can gain the experience from the elderly(umm...although he is not a old man).The most unforgettable one is the experience when he taught in Purdue University.It's funny and interesting to see the culture difference between Eastern and Western people.I am glad to have his lecture and hope my classmate can have good result in Physics.

Thursday we will have the Chemistry mid term test again.CGU always have quite a lot of quiz,test and exam.Thermodynamics,enthalpy,entropy,activity cofficient,buffer...gonna go crazy now.All right,after finish this,I can have a rest then,maybe have a good dinner also.
